It is “back to school time” again , and as we all might know, in  university, we do not have a lot of free time to spare for cooking (or we are just being super lazy), which gets most of the students resolving to fast food. Bad solution for two reasons, it leads to  health problems and it is  money consuming. So here are three simple recipes which are easy to make and most importantly affordable to all of you students out there, trying to survive through your educational journey.

Recipe 1: Pizza bread

You guessed it right, as its name says, it is pizza using bread (simple right?) . I am one of the biggest fans of this dish for its simplicity, all you need is bread (any kind of breads depends on your personal preferences) some canned tomato sauce, and cheese. You can go creative with it add any toppings your heart might enjoy. Just slice the bread, spread the sauce , add whatever you want as toppings and put it in the oven (or just on the stove if you don’t have an oven) for about four minutes tops, then enjoy your personal easy pizza. This one is a simple dish and practically would not need any efforts at all.

Recipe 2: Mac and cheese

The famous dish that we all love since childhood, the Mac and cheese. All you need is milk,  pasta , butter and cheese (preferably cheddar)

Put 1/4 cup of butter to melt, add 3 cups of milk and cheese, as much as you want, and stir it all until it become a “cheesy” sauce , then add the precooked pasta ( timing for pasta to cook depends on your pasta but usually it is around 5 to 10 minutes, check packaging if you really have no idea what you are doing).

Do not forget to season your dish with salt and black pepper.

Bonus plus: If you have an oven, you can bake your dish after cooking for a couple of other minutes until the top layer becomes golden brown.

Recipe 3: Slow chicken

This dish is perfect for when you have an entire evening to prepare a dinner or for when you are busy with other tasks so you just start your cooking and leave it there to cook slowly.

You will need a slow cooker for this, however, and it is a super easy dish to prepare. Just put slices of lemon, garlic and some herbs (like rosemary or thyme ) in the bottom of your cooker, season the chicken well and add it to the cooker, cover the chicken with more lemon and garlic  then just let it cook for about 4 hours. You will end up with some juicy chicken for to your mouth delight.
