We curse ourselves for indulging into that unhealthy snack and so does our body. Get over that blame game and treat yourself to the snack that tastes great and does well to your body.

Here are six delicious and healthy options:

Whole-grain bread with almond butter and peaches
On a toasted slice of whole grain bread spread 2 teaspoon almond butter and add ½ sliced peach.

Spicy watermelon and pistachios
Take 2 cups of watermelons cubes add 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice as well as ½ teaspoon grated lime zest. Sprinkle a pinch of cayenne pepper and add 2 teaspoon chopped roasted pistachios.

Curried chickpeas
Add a pinch of salt, red pepper, and black pepper to a cup of roasted peas. Enhance the taste by adding chopped coriander, tomatoes, onion and few drops of lemon juice.

Hummus eggs
Cut the boiled eggs in half, replace the yolk with hummus and sprinkle salt and black pepper on the top.

Crispy pumpkin seeds
Roast a cup of pumpkin seeds season with a dash of salt, and black pepper or it can be consumed plain.

Fruit and nut popcorn
Combine ½ cup roasted and salted cashews, ¾ sultanas and ¾ dried cherries to a bowl full of popcorns.

Blueberries
This is the simplest yet the tastiest. You just need to clean a bowl full of blue berries and toss it inside a freezer for a few hours before munching. Grapes can be used alternative.

Vegan ice cream
Freeze 2 bananas and blend them smooth to enjoy your vegan ice-cream. Add honey if you prefer your ice cream extra sweet.

Sprouts
They are rich in proteins and fibre. You can use Bengal gram sprouts or green gram. Squeeze in a lemon juice sprinkle salt and black pepper. Adding chopped onions and green chillies enhances the taste, but is optional.

Yoghurt salad
In a small bowl combine yogurt, lemon juice and honey. Cover yogurt mixture and refrigerate. For fruit mix, you need a cup of pear, strawberry, apple and grapes, each cut into cubes. Combine all fruit in a large bowl. Add yogurt dressing and lightly toss to coat. Refrigerate until ready to serve. For best results, serve salad within 1-2 hours of preparing.
