We all know that drinking water is important; and so here are three simple ways to spice up your ordinary beverage

No matter the season, diet fad, or activities – the one thing that keeps cropping up is to keep your body hydrated with simple ol’ water. On average, you should have the minimum of two litres of it to keep your body happy and well. It is the healthiest choice of drink because (a) zero calories and (b) no sugars! What more do we need? Oh yes, it can be boring. It is tasteless.

Without ruining the best qualities of water, let’s jazz it up to keep it light, refreshing and exciting! But of course, it is still healthy with only fresh beneficial ingredients. We are not sharing just lemon-infused water here. All you have to do is add the ingredients to a bottle/jug and muddle them up with a wooden spoon gently and add your water. It’s that simple!

Strawberry & Mint

  • 4 – 5 Ripe Strawberries cut in half
  • A few mint leaves
  • 2 litres of water

This is sweet, refreshing and a lovely drink to have to perk up your day. The best part? The boring ‘transparent’ water colour will turn red because of the strawberries. You can switch the strawberries up for other berries such as blueberries, raspberries. Berries have so many nutrients and that mint in there is going to help speed and ease digestion.

Orange & Ginger

  • 1 – 2 Large Oranges
  • A good spoonful of finely grated ginger
  • 2 litres of water

Tangy, citrus and such a cool beverage. That hint of spiciness from the ginger would wake up your senses and keep you alert all day! Oranges help fight lower your cholesterol because of all the fibre it has. For all the people who experiences motion sickness, the ginger will help reduce it.

Cucumber & Basil

  • ¼ sliced Cucumbers
  • A few basil leaves
  • 2 litres of water

This concoction would look so posh because it’s all about the greens. People are going to think you are such a classy one. Cucumber itself is so good for your skin’s glow and basil is rich in antioxidants (plus it smells so lovely).

You can refill your bottle again and reuse the ingredients or maybe even add a few more bits in. These drinks are going to make you intake more than 2 litres! Did we also mention these drinks are Instagram-worthy?
