Try this unique way of juicing; instead of drinking your juice, freeze them into ice cubes for maximum enjoyment.

Just to clarify, I don’t mean alcohol!

So the other day I was round my friend’s house and her mum was in the kitchen – there was a really citrusy smell in the air and there were fruits and vegetables everywhere. I asked her what she was doing, and she answered by giving me a peculiar brown ice cube.

“Try it!” she said.

I did, and it was delicious

She was juicing. But instead of normal juicing where you put fruit and vegetables in a special juicer that extracts the juice only, and leaving the pulp, she was then putting the juice into an ice cube holder and making ‘little shots of frozen goodness’. It’s such a brilliant idea, and a big batch of frozen shots will last you the week. They’re great to have each morning with your breakfast and can be a great way to kick-start your body in the morning.

I am a massive fan of ginger – I put it in everything! Ginger, apple and lemon shots are one of my personal favourites, but you can experiment with lots of different fruits and vegetables.

Maybe try some of these combinations:
Ginger, apple and carrot
Cucumber, lime and mango
Beetroot, ginger and apple
Spinach, pear and ginger
Blueberry, kale and lemon

So, just to remind you…
1) Juice your chosen fruit and vegetable in a juicer
2) Pour into an ice cube tray
3) Freeze
4) Enjoy!
