According to reports, The Trump Organization’s many Muslim partnerships and major projects in Muslim-majority countries remain intact despite the rather inflammatory view of its Chairman & CEO and Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Earlier this week, Trump had called for a “total and complete” ban on Muslims entering the United States “until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on”, a statement that has received a lot backlash from citizens, officials and politicians alike due to its inflammatory nature. Many used the social media to draw a parallel between the Republican candidate and former German dictator Adolf Hitler.

However, it seems The Trump Organization’s business seems unaffected, as emphasised by Niall McLoughlin, Senior Vice President of Damac Properties, one of Dubai’s biggest luxury property developers, who said: “We would like to stress that our agreement is with the Trump Organization as one of the premium golf course operators in the world and as such we would not comment further on Mr Trump’s personal or political agenda, nor comment on the internal American political debate scene.”

As of today, Trump’s business operations in the United Arab Emirates and Turkey remained intact despite his derogatory stand towards Muslims. Moreover, Trump’s daughter and The Trump Organization’s Executive Vice President, Ivanka Trump, had confirmed that his organisation was aiming to expand in Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American Relations (CAIR), said: “He’s more than happy to make money off Muslims, at the same time attacking them in the most vicious way possible.”
