Andy_MurrayWhether you are a tennis fanatic or not, Wimbledon is a huge media event. This final brought Britain, particularly,  together in support of Andy Murray — who made history being the first British male to win the tournament in 77 years. Although arguably not all of our eyes were always on the game, with the impressive players’ styles in full spotlight, they showed as a variety of ways to make sportswear quirky and original for males and females.

9236357413_b1ec662a76_mNot only this, but there was a host of celebrity onlookers in the crowd who attracted a vast amount of attention and excitement- including Gerard Butler, Bradley Cooper and Victoria Beckham. Butler and Cooper both attended the final in very similar blue toned suits, accessorised with stylish sunglasses as they watched the match with anticipation and snapped photos on their iPhones. They looked dashing and gained a lot of camera attention — pleasing many viewers! Victoria Beckham wore a simple black lingerie styled slip, which some may have deemed as perhaps slightly inappropriate, however she managed to pull it off as usual. She sported her signature aviator styled shades too and remained poised and calm throughout the match.

However, most fashion attention of this sporting season has been focused on the girlfriend of Murray, Kim Sears. She has been praised for her smart yet casual look at every match, sporting high street pieces such as Zara dresses, Levi’s denim jackets and jeans paired with elegant blazers. She has perfected the groomed yet casual look and during the final, she looked stunning in a pastel shade Victoria Beckham laced dress. She has also been glued to a beautiful Willow tote bag by Mulberry, proving that not all celebrities and sporting girlfriends need a new designer handbag for every occasion, which we love!

Overall it was one of the most exciting Wimbledon seasons and finals to date, especially for Britain and it has provided us with a new fashion crush in the form of Kim Sears. Already we can’t wait to see what she’s wearing next year when cheering on the outstanding Andy Murray.
