Cornwall, UK
Even though ‘surfing’ might make you think of palm trees, sunny beaches and cocktails, the United Kingdom has several beaches that are perfect to go kite surfing. Cornwall is one of them, with various kite surfing schools and a multitude of beaches where you can practice. The area has it all- spots for kite surfing, wind surfing, for beginners and more advanced surfers. So if cold and wet is not a problem for you, Cornwall is the place to go.
Tarifa, Spain
If you’re ready for a bit more wave action, visit Tarifa. This place has been a Mekka for windsurfers for a while now and has recently also put itself on the map for kite surfers. With its vibrant nightlife, it is also a good place to party. The best time to go to Tarifa is from July to September.
Hurghada, Egypt
Hurghada is perfect for kite surfing – all year round. It used to be a small fishing village, but has now transformed itself into a hotspot not only for surfers, but also for people who just want to enjoy the Egyptian sun. It is the ideal location for beginning kite surfers and also has spots that are good for more advanced surfers. There is a lot of old heritage to see in Hurghada. It also has a bustling nightlife, so check out the bazaar when the sun goes down.
