There is a magical word that can light up every woman’s eye, and the word is ‘sale’. Have you ever ran into a shop to get a pair of gloves for cold winter days but suddenly saw the ‘SALE’ sign and almost accidentally (well, this is how you explain it afterwards) bought a skirt, a pair of boots and several blouses? Or maybe you always wanted an expensive bag or coat, but can’t help worrying about how much you would struggle if you bought it? If this is the story of your life, then these shopping tips will be practical for you.

It is, of course, not possible to find the exact same shirt for completely different prices but if you know some ‘tricks’ about shopping, you can save quite a lot of money while still getting what you want and not trying to make it till the end of the month afterwards.

Probably the cheapest countries to buy clothes from any brands are Italy and Spain. Well, it doesn’t come as a surprise. Italy is the country of fashion and style. The collections presented in the shops are different from other countries. Italian shopping is all about more colours, more variety and more styles. The shops are always full of customers, especially during sale seasons, when everything (usually the size you need) is sold out in a matter of days. With major sales twice a year, it is popular among people who love fashion and have a craze for shopping.Juicy_Couture_Shop_(Via_della_Spiga_-_Milan)

If you are in a desperate need of a winter coat, it will probably be better to wait a bit and buy it in early January. The winter sale season usually starts on the first or second of the month and the discounts reach up to 90%! Doesn’t it sound terrific to buy a dream coat from an expensive fashion house for just 10% of the actual cost? The best city to go is obviously Milan, the so-called fashion capital of Italy. Walking along Via Montenapoleone, you will notice the sign ‘sale’ on every single window, but do not rush into the first shop whose name you recognise. There are plenty tiny clothing shops hidden on the street where you have a great chance of finding a dress of your dreams.

In case if you are not too picky about current trends and want cheaper clothes and accessories, you will find options for that as well. Several huge shopping centres in the country have last season collections that are clearly sold cheaper even without discounts during the year. And when it comes to sales, your mind will be blown off by the prices! You can get a fabulous Prada bag for just € 200 instead of € 1,000

If, by any chance, you are spending your Christmas holidays in the Italian Alps, it is definitely worth it to rent a car and drive to one of the outlets. Moreover, these shopping centres even look beautiful, resembling small villages or castles. You won’t be disappointed! The biggest ones include The Mall, Serravalle Designer Outlet and Castel Guelfo.

Spain is also an option for those of you looking for a great deal for buying clothes in Europe. First of all, brands here are a lot cheaper than anywhere else. Even going to Zara would save you quite a fortune of money, especially during sales. Again, there are many various local shops that offer good-quality pieces. Why not check it out? At least, you can be sure that no one else has the same dress or skirt. If you are going to one of the Spanish islands for holidays (e.g. Mallorca or Menorca) you should undoubtedly visit one of the leather fabrics that sell shoes, belts, bags and jackets. High quality and affordable prices – and you will definitely get another biker even if you already have three of them at home.

So, good luck with shopping and don’t miss the best deals during sales!
