BREAKING NEWS

JERUSALEM: The Israel government has given the go ahead for a further 800 home settlements to be built in the occupied West Bank. Construction is not however expected to begin for months

There are serious concerns these plans will jeopardise the ongoing delicate peace process  if building is to continue into Palestine territories. In their plans to become an independent state, Palestine wants the West Bank, the Gaza strip and East Jerusalem.

Two weeks ago, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Natanyahu, made the announcement of   Israel’s largest settler home plan ever in which plans for the construction of 20,000 homes in the West Bank were laid out.  The Israel government continues to announce the building of thousands of homes, despite the historical peace deal brokered this year by the US in July after a three year stalemate.

Over 500,000 Israelis live in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem next to 2.5 million Palestinians.
