Last night saw the gathering of Hollywood’s best and brightest at the Beverly Hills Hotel with the taking place.

12 Years a Slave won Best Motion Picture (Drama) gathering support and accolades in the run up to the Academy Awards in March. The film based on Solomon Northup, a free black man from New York who is sold back into slavery, sees British director Steve McQueen garner support in time for the Oscars which are on track to becoming a very interesting night for the film industry.

American Hustle took home awards for Best Motion Picture (Musical/Comedy) and saw Jennifer Lawrence grab the gong for Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Motion Picture) and Amy Adams winning Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Musical/Comedy).
