NAIROBI — A suspected grenade attack on a minibus on Saturday, September 14, in Nairobi’s Eastleigh neighbourhood, took the lives of at least four people.
A damaged car was spotted near the place of attack with pieces of metal and glass in the surrounding area. Benson Kibui, Nairobi county police commander said, “So far I can confirm that four people have died in the explosion.” Another police officer, who has not been named, suspects it to be a grenade attack.
Ambulances, including Kenya Red Cross arrived at the scene immediately. The St John Ambulance took to the social media site, Twitter, announcing that four died from injuries and others, who sustained severe injuries, were rushed to the hospital.
