A new lingerie line, inspired by the trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey, was launched on November 6 by the Nordic clothing line KappAhl. It is available in selected stores in Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden.

The collection was a result of a close collaboration between KappAhl and the author of the trilogy, E.L. James. “All people at our company who were involved in the collection, read the books before we even got started,” said Carina Ladow, Vice President Range and Design at KappAhl. She added: “The author Mrs James has been highly involved through the whole design process.”

Ladow said the sensual lingerie, featuring red, black and grey colours was based on the mood of the book. However, “the garments were not only for Anastasia. They were for all the women who read the books,” she added. One of the first buyers of this line said: “I think it is sexy in a classy way.”

Despite Fifty Shades of Grey being an international project, the lingerie line is not yet available for everyone. “We are selling on selected stores in Finland, Norway and Sweden. And our e-commerce availability is only in Sweden,” said Ladow.

The international fans of Fifty Shades of Grey will have to wait a while, before they will be able to purchase a piece from this line as well.
