The notorious pro-Assad Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) hacked CNN’s twitter account on Thursday night. They have posted numerous anti-CIA and anti-al Quaeda tweets.
The army started off with a tweet saying “Syrian Electronic Army was here … stop lying … all your reports are fake!”. A few more followed and were swiftly deleted by the CNN. After that the hackers took aim at the CIA and al-Quaeda.

The CNN tweeted their response soon enough: “Some of our organization’s social media accounts were compromised. We have secured those accounts and are working to remedy the issue”
Some of the SEA’s previous victims include the BBC, AP, and NPR.
