The ceiling of the traditional Apollo Theatre located in the Soho district, London, has collapsed tonight, whilst  people were watching a play, first reports indicate that the theatre was almost full.

London authorities have stated that there are 81 people wounded and at least 5 of them are serious, some have head trauma after the ceiling of the building collapsed.

The Apollo Theatre which is managed by the group called Nimax Theatre was presenting the play called: “The curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”.

At first the injured were taken to the Lyric Theatre which is located next to the Apollo Theatre. Afterwards, once the ambulances and Emergency teams arrived, the wounded were taken to different hospitals located in Central London.

Witnesses reported that the ceiling and part of the lights collapsed approximately at 20:15 Local time.

At the moment there are not reports of any fatality in the incident.

Authorities are in the scene and the investigation is expected to begin soon.
